Why do I need a Phare Protect plan?

Phare C1 Pro uses a cellular connection, and Phare Protect is what keeps that connection live. It's also the brain behind Phare — detecting threats to your home early and accurately, powering our mobile and desktop apps, and pushing continuous improvements to the detection algorithms. With your Phare Protect membership you'll always have the latest version of our technology.

Can I buy or use Phare without a Phare Protect plan?

Phare C1 Pro requires an active Phare Protect plan for the cellular connection. If you'd rather use Phare without a subscription, take a look at Phare C1 or Phare C1 Core instead.

Can I replace my existing smoke alarm with Phare?

Absolutely. Phare is designed as a plug-and-play replacement for your existing smoke alarms.

What standards does Phare comply with?

Phare is certified in accordance with BS EN14604:2005, FCC CFR 47 Part 15, and IEC 62386, among others. For a full list of Phare’s current certifications, please contact compliance@pharelabs.com.

For UK customers, Phare meets Grade D1 standards as specified in BS 5839-6 and is compliant with Scottish legislation for fire detection equipment.

What is your return and refund policy?

If you’re not satisfied with Phare, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.

What warranty does Phare come with?

We'll replace Phare if you have any issues or problems as long as your Protect Pro membership is active. Since Phare C1 Pro requires Protect Pro for its cellular connection, your warranty stays in force for the full lifetime of your subscription.
