Why do I need a Phare Protect plan?

Think of Phare Protect as the brain behind Phare. It’s what enables Phare to detect threats to your home early and accurately and what powers our mobile and desktop apps.

Phare Protect also isn’t static. We invest continuously in R&D to make your home safer and, with your Phare Protect membership, you’ll always have the latest version of our technology.

If you wish to use Phare without a Phare Protect plan or access to our apps, you’re welcome to cancel your membership anytime after the first 12 months.

Can I buy or use Phare without a Phare Protect plan?

A Phare Protect plan is required for the first 12 months. You can cancel anytime after, though you will lose access to all features that require Phare Protect to function, such as our mobile app.

Can I replace my existing smoke alarm with Phare?

Absolutely. Phare is designed as a plug-and-play replacement for your existing smoke alarms.

What standards does Phare comply with?

Phare is compliant with BS EN14604:2005, FCC CFR 47 Part 15, and IEC 62386, among others. For a full list of Phare’s current certifications, please contact compliance@pharelabs.com.

For UK customers, Phare meets Grade D1 standards as specified in BS 5839-6 and is compliant with Scottish legislation for fire detection equipment.

What is your return and refund policy?

If you’re not satisfied with Phare, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.

What warranty does Phare come with?

We’ll replace Phare if you have any issues or problems as long as your Protect Pro membership is active.

If you have a Protect Starter membership, we'll do the same anytime within the first 12 months.

Where do you ship to?

We ship anywhere in the United States and United Kingdom.
